Participating in sports is fun!
This course was designed to keep it that way by making it a great experience for young and old alike.  Coach4KidsTM is about helping parents and their kids to get the most out of their involvement in youth sports.  Everyone has different skills and expectations, but by implementing a good coaching philosophy everyone can benefit and have a good time.

Coach4Kids offers first and second-year coaches as well as experienced coaches tools for teaching athletic skills and lifelong skills.  Physical skills give kids a chance to have fun, compete and participate while lifelong skills benefit them long after they are finished with team sports.  This process of intentionally teaching both is known as "dual skill development."

Coaches who successfully apply the principles of dual skill development will be remembered more for what they  helped someone become, then for how many games they won.

Sports are obviously NOT the activity of choice for everyone.  Young people can learn the same lifelong skills in other activities, but fot those who choose sports, their experiences should be as positive as possible.  And, as a coach, YOU can make that happen!
